Kitty Arosteguy founded The Spa Central Coast after more than 30 years as a licensed massage therapist and esthetician. A dedicated wellness professional and entrepreneur, she is passionate about self-care, healing, and helping clients feel their best.
Inspired by a family of strong entrepreneurial women — her mother and grandmothers, who built businesses while raising families — Kitty carries forward that same spirit of perseverance, service, and care in everything she does.
How Did The Spa Central Coast Begin?
While working in corporate management, Kitty discovered her passion for helping others through wellness. In 1997, she began studying massage therapy and skincare while simultaneously working in the corporate world.
Her growing passion led her to work at The Day Spa of Ojai, where she developed her skills and deepened her understanding of holistic wellness.
In 2003, she took a leap of faith and designed and opened her first spa, The Spa Central Coast, in Atascadero, California.

Her entrepreneurial experience also extends beyond the spa industry.
Kitty previously owned and operated Haven Wine Bistro, which she designed and managed from 2009 to 2013 before returning her full focus to the wellness field.
She has also been a co-owner of a Pilates studio and expanded The Spa Central Coast into multiple locations, including The Avila Lighthouse Resort in Avila Beach.
Why Paso Robles?
In 2014, Kitty brought her primary focus to Paso Robles, the community she has proudly called home since 2004.
Her vision was to create a welcoming wellness destination where guests could step away from everyday stress and reconnect with themselves through healing, relaxation, and self-care.
Today, that vision continues to guide every experience at The Spa Central Coast.
What Inspires Kitty Today?
Outside of the spa, Kitty enjoys traveling, practicing yoga, spending time in nature, and exploring personal growth and self-awareness.
Her greatest passion is helping others discover their own path to wellness while sharing the transformative power of self-care, healing, and connection.
She believes that wellness is not simply about feeling better—it's about creating space for lasting balance, peace, and personal transformation.
